Reigning ONE Atomweight Muay Thai World Champion Nadaka defends his title against Malaysia’s Rifdean Masdor at ONE SAMURAI 4 inside Tokyo’s Ariake Arena on Saturday, October 17.
Nadaka, 25, enters the bout on a 41-fight winning streak. He claimed the inaugural title with a win over Numsurin Chor Ketwina at ONE 173 last November, then made his first defense with a five-round decision over Songchainoi Kiatsongrit at ONE SAMURAI 1 this past April.
Masdor, 23, has posted a 7-1 record in ONE Championship, including five straight wins with a 71 percent finish rate. He punched his way onto the global roster with a first-round finish of Javad Mozafari at ONE Friday Fights 159 in June, earning a $100,000 contract in the process.
A win for Masdor would end Nadaka’s unbeaten run of more than seven years and make him just the second ONE World Champion in Malaysia’s history, following Aliff Sor Dechapan.
Nadaka returns to home soil for the defense, seeking to extend his streak and record a second successful defense of the belt.
