Petninmungkorn NamkangIceland faces Pet Suanluangrodyok in the ONE Friday Fights 165 main event, streaming live from Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok on Friday, August 7, with a US$100,000 contract on the line for the winner.
Petninmungkorn, 28, is unbeaten in six ONE Championship appearances since his May 2024 debut. His most recent win came in January, a third-round knockout of Toyota Eaglemuaythai that earned a bonus. He owns 66 career victories.
Pet, 19, enters on a three-fight winning streak that includes wins over Numsurin Chor Ketwina and French fighter Nahyan Mohammed, along with a split-decision upset of Adam Sor Dechapan in June. His career record stands at 53-11.
Petninmungkorn said he identified Pet’s head kick as his most dangerous weapon but believes the teenager’s chin and body are vulnerable to sustained pressure.
“His main strength is just sheer physical power, along with his leg kicks and punches,” Petninmungkorn said.
Pet said his win over Adam Sor Dechapan sharpened his technique against unconventional strikers and left him throwing more combinations with cleaner output.
Both fighters have said they are seeking a finish rather than a decision, with the six-figure contract going to whoever makes the bigger statement inside the ring.
