Wanchainoi Pongsuphan PK headlines the strawweight Muay Thai main event against Petnamkhong Sor Maneekhot at The Inner Circle 26, streaming live in Asia primetime from Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok on Friday, August 14.
Wanchainoi, 25, carries 101 career victories and a three-fight winning streak into his first main event, including a first-round knockout of Dokmaipa Santiubon at ONE Friday Fights 160. He said he plans to close the distance and target Petnamkhong’s body and legs to offset his opponent’s height and reach advantage.
“His biggest advantage is definitely his height, that’s the main puzzle I have to solve for this fight,” Wanchainoi said.
A win Friday would extend Wanchainoi’s streak to four fights and move him closer to a US$100,000 main roster contract. Wanchainoi said a statement performance could also position him for a future matchup against reigning ONE Atomweight Muay Thai World Champion Nadaka.
