Visitors to Thailand often get confused when picking which ONE Championship event to go to at Lumpinee Stadium. But despite the difference in names, two of the three shows are identical. ONE Lumpinee and ONE Friday Fights are the same weekly event. It’s marketed as ONE Lumpinee in Thailand and ONE Friday Fights outside of Thailand and includes the new The Inner Circle show. ONE Fight Night, on the other hand, is an entirely different monthly show on Saturday mornings.

Keep reading to find out how each of these events differ and which one is right for you.

About this guide: I’ve written this guide based on my experience as a fan and media representative working at Lumpinee Stadium during ONE Championship’s weekly and monthly events.

ONE Lumpinee And ONE Friday Fights

Aside from the difference in names, ONE Lumpinee and ONE Friday Fights are the same exact show. They happen almost every Friday at Lumpinee Stadium from 6:30 PM to 11:30 PM. Starting in 2026 ONE Championship moved the showtime up one hour, so don’t relay on older resources that say 7:30 PM is the start time.

Insider tip: Get to your seat by 6:15 PM if you want to watch the night’s first fighters walk out to the ring.

The only reason ONE Championship refers to them differently is because of marketing. In Thailand, the show is known as ONE Lumpinee to cater to the Thai demographic who watch either at Lumpinee Stadium or by the millions on Channel 7 HD — the premiere TV station for Muay Thai in Thailand. Outside of Thailand, the event is marketed as ONE Friday Fights because few people know what “Lumpinee” is.

Naming conventions aside, the show features about 80 percent entertainment Muay Thai (three rounds, 4-ounce gloves, no wai kru) and 20 percent kickboxing and MMA. Fighters, both Thai and interntational, compete for a chance to win a 3.2 million Thai Baht (US$100,000) contract with ONE Championship and the opportunity to compete on the promotion’s global events. Fighters can also win 350,000 Thai Baht (US$10,000) bonuses for putting on exciting fights. On any given night, multiple millions of Thai Baht can be awarded to high-performing Muay Thai fighters.

Because there’s so much at stake, the fights deliver on entertainment. The energy also goes unrivaled. Despite gambling being banned at Lumpinee after the COVID pandemic, the crowd really gets into the fights. Every punch, kick, knee, and elbow is met with cheers that reverberate throughout the stadium. It reminds me of a much larger Channel 7 Stadium or Siam Boxing Stadium.

Don’t let the premise of this show fool you. Just because nak muay are fighting for contracts doesn’t mean they’re low-level fighters. On any given Friday night you can watch Muay Thai stadium legends like Yodlekpetch Or. Atchariya and Kulabdam Sor. Jor. Piek Uthai compete at ONE Lumpinee/ONE Friday Fights.

Did you know? The term nak muay (นักมวย) means fighter or practitioner of Muay Thai. In Thai, the prefix nak (นัก) refers to a person who is an expert or a dedicated professional in a specific field, while muay (มวย) simply means “boxing.” Traditionally, being a nak muay in Thai society carried a complex connotation; while fighters were respected for their bravery and grit, the profession was often viewed as a hard-knock path taken by those from humble, rural backgrounds to support their families. This contrasts the West, where “Muay Thai fighter” is often seen as a lifestyle choice. However, in recent times, this perception is shifting. As fighters achieve global celebrity status and wealth, being a nak muay has transformed into career that represents Thai “Soft Power” on the world stage.

The Inner Circle

In March 2026, ONE Championship added another segment to its ONE Lumpinee/ONE Friday Fights event called The Inner Circle. This portion of the show features five fights that come on before the regular card. The main event is usually a high-level fight featuring ONE’s contracted fighters. Sometimes a belt is on the line — like when Regian Eersel fought Rungrawee Sitsongpeenong for the ONE Lightweight Kickboxing World Title in April 2026.

If you buy tickets to watch ONE Lumpinee/ONE Friday Fights in person, you can watch The Inner Circle fights at no additional cost. To watch The Inner Circle online though, you’ll need to sign up for a subscription on ONE Championship’s website. The price is 200 Thai Baht (US$6.25) if you pay monthly or 480 Thai Baht (US$15.00) if you pay every three months.

ONE Fight Night

Although ONE Championship markets its ONE Fight Night events to international audiences as airing on Friday nights (true for U.S. viewers), the show actually takes place on Saturday mornings from 8:30 AM to 12:00 PM at Lumpinee Stadium.

These shows include Muay Thai fights in addition to kickboxing, MMA, and submission grappling, and they sometimes feature ONE World Title fights in the main and co-main events. Some of the fighters who compete on these shows have come from the ONE Lumpinee/ONE Friday Fights platform.

The production value for ONE Fight Night events tends to be higher than the other shows. For instance, ONE Championship brings in its primary ring announcer Dom Lau, the fighter walkouts tend to be more dramatic, and the lighting affects add a certain feel that ONE Lumpinee/ONE Friday Fights doesn’t have.

ONE Championship’s Numbered Events

Since my website is dedicated to Muay Thai stadiums in Bangkok, I won’t go into detail about ONE Championship’s numbered events because the promotion tends to hold them at larger venues in Thailand and around the world — like Impact Arena in Bangkok or Ariake Arena in Tokyo.

These events are massive spectacles that feature multiple ONE World Title fights with the promotion’s biggest superstars. One of the most recent numbered events I attended was ONE 170 in January of 2025. To this day it remains one of the best events I’ve ever been to live.

Which ONE Championship Event Should You Attend?

For most of you reading this article right now, you’ll probably want to watch Muay Thai in it’s purest form — or as close to it as possible. For that reason I recommend going to a ONE Lumpinee/ONE Friday Fights event.

If you want to experience more of a spectacle, something similar to a fight event you’d find in Las Vegas, go to a ONE Fight Night instead. Just remember that there won’t be as many Muay Thai fights on these cards.
